Hello Lionel, can you tell us about your career?

I have started my career in France in the software industry with Astek a small company based in Paris. I quickly evolved to consulting positions first with Oracle and then PwC. I have then created Opertura, a software edition and consulting firm, where I was consulting for Price, IBM, Deloitte…

 

I moved to the United States in 2005 where I joined Bearing Point and then Tata Consulting in System strategy services. In 2011 I joined Salesforce in the consulting strategy division, and I am now part of VISEO USA.

What will be your missions within VISEO USA?

The goal is to develop Salesforce in the US, to do so the objective is to rely on the skills and the clients that VISEO has in France and in the US, and to use the expertise of Salesforce team. The first objective is to promote the solutions that we will develop specifically in the US. The second one is to deliver missions, so to have a vision of what we must deliver and who will do it.

What can you tell us about the Salesforce Market in the US, what are the challenges?

Salesforce is a very interesting market that is always evolving. Historically Salesforce is a leader in CRM, but offer more and more integrated solutions that offer services centered around the client. So, we have a core product to manage clients that is the CRM and many other associated solutions specialized in specific sectors or functions of the company.

 

The main advantage of the product is that the basic functions are easy to implement, in fact, many clients implement the solution by themselves. But what is interesting for a company such as VISEO is the capacity to offer a strong technical expertise, to have a vision of the industry and to offer means to executes.

 

Another advantage is the Cloud, with the solution being in the cloud it is easy to have dematerialized team, a maximum of people involved and to reused in the best possible way our offshores skills (so with the VISEO's Salesforce team in France but also our centers in Maroc or the Phillipines).

What are the reasons that convinced you to join VISEO USA?

VISEO as all the necessary skills to become in short term a trusted and credible actor in the Salesforce world in the US, the competition is mostly comprised of large company attached to large consulting firms that usually work with historical clients, their main problem is the agility as it is harder for them to be agile compare too small to medium size company such as VISEO USA.

 

The Salesforce project in the US, my previous experiences and my taste for entrepreneurship are the reasons that pushed me to join this adventure and to try to create a new specific activity.
